The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed the schedule for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). According to JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, registration for the exam will open on January 31, 2025, and end on March 5, 2025.
JAMB has announced that the sale of application documents and e-PINs for direct entry candidates will commence on March 10, 2025, and conclude on April 7, 2025. The Mock-UTME is slated for April 5, 2025, while the main UTME will occur from April 25 to May 5, 2025.
Candidates opting for the Mock-UTME will pay ₦8,200, while those registering for UTME only will pay ₦7,200. The breakdown of fees includes ₦3,500 for the UTME/DE application, ₦1,000 for a reading text, and additional charges for CBT center services and bank fees, totaling ₦7,700.
Additionally, a mock UTME for candidates under 16 has been introduced for practice purposes, but it does not factor into admission eligibility. Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2025, to qualify for admission into tertiary institutions.
He noted that exceptional candidates under the age of 15 could be considered for admission if they achieve a UTME score of at least 280 and excel in their Senior Secondary Certificate and post-UTME examinations.
