Social media users have criticized an unnamed bride over allegations that she poisoned food served to guests at a wedding in Jigawa State, driven by a personal vendetta, according to eyewitness accounts. The state police spokesperson, Shi’isu Adam, confirmed that an investigation is underway. The incident has reportedly left the groom in critical condition, while other guests who ate the tainted food have been discharged from the hospital; however, one person has died. Adam noted that two suspects have been arrested in connection with the poisoning, which has generated widespread outrage online.

Opinions on the bride’s alleged poisoning of wedding food in Jigawa State are divided. Some suggest her actions stem from a forced marriage, while others argue that no grievances can justify such behavior.
