Vice President Kashim Shettima has traveled to Dubai, UAE, to represent President Bola Tinubu at the inauguration of a $315 million oil production and storage facility. This was announced in a statement by Mr. Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications. Nkwocha noted that the facility, which is wholly owned by a Nigerian oil and gas company, was acquired by Oriental Energy Ltd. and is set to be commissioned on December 14.

The Vice President will travel to Saudi Arabia for Umrah in Madinah and Makkah from December 16 to 19, after an event in Dubai. On December 20, he is set to meet with the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) in Jeddah to discuss co-financing for the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ Phase II) and to improve coordination of IsDB projects in Nigeria, aimed at boosting agricultural and economic development. He is expected to return to Nigeria by December 21.
