The Federal Ministry of Women’s Affairs has proposed a budget of N75.26 billion for research and development in its total budget of N78.52 billion for 2025. This breakdown includes N2.06 billion for personnel costs, N810.9 million for overheads, and N75.65 billion for capital projects, pending approval from the National Assembly.
The research and development allocation includes funds for acquiring intangible assets, with N265.03 million set aside for monitoring and evaluation and N35 million for anniversaries and celebrations. An additional N100 million is allocated for general travel and transport, with operational expenses of N40 million for office supplies and cleaning services, and N25 million for service charges.
For social and administrative functions, the ministry has earmarked N40.46 million for refreshments, N30 million for sports, and N15 million for annual budget and administrative costs.
