Despite economic volatility and high vehicle costs, Toyota Nigeria Limited (TNL) projects to sell 3,000 units this year, reaffirming its strong presence with a 27% market share of new car sales in Nigeria. During a press conference at the ongoing 2025 Toyota Motor Show in Lekki, Managing Director Kunle Ade-Ojo highlighted that this projection is driven by new models, sales strategies, and a mix of corporate and individual customers. TNL sold slightly more than 3,000 units last year and plans to expand its offerings with new fuel-efficient and hybrid vehicles, demonstrating its commitment to customer service and product diversity.

Despite a challenging economy characterized by inflation and naira depreciation, Toyota Nigeria Limited reported higher vehicle sales in 2024 than in the previous year, reflecting strong customer confidence. Managing Director Kunle Ade-Ojo noted that sales exceeded expectations, with top-selling models including Hilux, Hiace, and Rush. He also announced upcoming model launches such as the Starlet Cross, new Corolla Cross, and RAV4, scheduled for late 2024 or early 2025. Additionally, TNL plans to introduce hybrid and electric vehicles to support Nigeria’s Green Initiative.

Toyota’s Genuine Motor Oil, popular for use on various vehicles, continues to be a key product.

The ongoing Toyota Motor Show provides customers with opportunities to purchase models at discounts and showcases Toyota’s after-sales capabilities, featuring vehicles like Land Cruiser, Hilux, Fortuner, and genuine parts.
